Overcoming Barriers to Retrofitting Affordable Housing with Climate and Health Benefits for Residents

The benefits of improving affordable housing to achieve better climate and health outcomes are increasingly evident, but barriers remain to doing so in existing buildings. With new resources available through the Inflation Reduction Act, it is imperative to identify a pathway for existing buildings to achieve better performance – both to benefit residents and to preserve our existing housing stock in the face of climate change. NHT’s Insights on Housing webinar will address these and other questions: • How can housing providers balance investing in energy performance while meeting other urgent priorities in their portfolio? • What are the current and emerging solutions to address energy retrofit costs? • How can we overcome barriers to make energy retrofits easier and engage asset managers, residents, investors, and other stakeholders to address these barriers?
