Unaffordable housing threatens Utah’s economic strength and family-friendly reputation. Unsurprisingly, Utah voters view housing affordability as their top priority in the 2024 elections. Increasing the supply of affordable homes through market-oriented solutions to land-use and housing construction problems can meet urgent societal needs.
Join the AEI Housing Center and the Sutherland Institute at a convening of practitioners, legislators, executive branch officials, local officials, supply advocates, researchers, and interested voters to discuss the housing affordability challenges facing Utah. The event will focus on a Utah housing success playbook that ensures homeownership and Utah’s “family miracle” for present and future generations. It will be informed by housing-reform case studies at the state and local level that have led to AEI’s Housing Abundance Sequence.
